Freshers Fyre
This is an annual event at NKC. From a production point of view, it has been a very long process. We have created a list of roles for people, in the class that are going to attend the Fyre.

Here we can see the different types of media that were used during the Freshers Fyre. I used a drone to film the image on the left which went very well. At the start, it was a bit windy as I started to ascend to 70 meters above the college to get a wide shot of the Freshers Fyre however it did not matter because when I descended to 50 meters above the college to became a lot more stable too get the smooth stable shots for the promo video.
During the Freshers Fyre, our two DJs used professional equipment to play all the cool tunes that were played throughout.
The bottom image shows cameraman Elliot and sound operator Sam shooting this great interview, GIRL did the interviews that were great however we did have a couple that was a bit boring so in the future, I believe that we should always use GIRL because she has a great way of talking to people and great energy.
Here is Elliot filming some of the students at the Freshers Fyre. This setup really did make it seem very professional with the Miskin branded microphone as well as high-quality pro recording equipment.
This is the DJ setup. It is extremely expensive professional equipment for DJs. Being a Yamaha product, it is of excellent quality and has great custom controls to suit the requirements for that event.
This is me setting up my drone. This is was one of the most important camera angles. The DJI Mavic Air 2 is a great drone because it films in 4K at 60 frames per second so if it needs to be cropped and edited in any way it keeps that high quality look.
Drone NKC Flight History
This is the route of filming with my drone. The drone path has been drawn on the program to clearly showw the deatils of the flight. Thsi is especially if anything was to go wrong during the flight. Such as a falt with the drone or if it has any other iccindent.
The dron also has variuos warning messages and general notifications of nay chanve in the drone. This has been proved on hte left of the image shown that my storage is full so I had to change to my reserve internal storage. This was all during the flight.
This image shows the flight log at the Freshers Fyre
The black circle shows the model of the aircraft and the dates and location, this will help me differentiate between different logs.

The red circle shows how many satellites are connected to the drone, this is very important because the drone uses GPS to stay in position and record its location for security.

The blue circle shows the connection level from the drone to the controller, this is the second most important to be working because when it begins to lose signal the camera will stop transmitting.

The yellow circle shows the battery percentage which is important because if I am flying the drone far away or shooting a time-lapse I always need to keep a check on it so I will have enough power to return home.

The purple circle shows the current location of the drone without this when it is out of sight I would have no idea where the drone would be and what obstacles are out of sight of the camera.

The green circle is also an important image to see clearly because it shows the take-off location so if I move away from that location for shooting purposes I know exactly where to go when it returns home.

The orange circle shows teh shooting mode. This is very important because in C mode the drone has a speed limit of 5mph which is only for cinematic shots. In P mode it has no speed limit but is gradual with power. In S mode there is instant power and accelerates to 37mph in around 4 seconds, for fast-moving subjects like cars or flybys.

The pink circle shows the height which is imperative when flying below 70 feet. It also shows the distance from the pilot which is important because it gives me the ability to see when I am reaching my maximum distance.

Renting DJI Inspire (Equipment)
Pro's
It will be cheaper to rent the drone because for a new one it is £6000. I have looked at this website that rents the Drone at a minimum weekly. This is a great way for me to save money for future projects. For me filming on a professional level making short films I would use this. (https://www.heliguy.com/products/rental-dji-inspire-2)
Con's
It can be hard to get a good pilot to assist me whilst filming. I have a license for flying drones however during production I will be focusing on the actors and the cameras.
Hiring Sound Engineers (People)
Pro's
It will help me focus on getting great shots rather than thinking about the second most important thing which is sound even more so with a promotion video because I will be dealing with paying clients. (https://www.soundsolutionconsultants.co.uk/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIroaepIu28wIVdWHmCh3RewC4EAAYAiAAEgIetPD_BwE)
Con's
It can be expensive if I go professional will have to do if I am doing professional adverts by getting people to use a mixer then for example a boom operator it will be even more costs.
Renting Batteries (Disposables)
Pro's
This will be cost-effective over time because batteries that have been rented by a company will often replace the batteries due to them aging over time. This will save me money because it will mean I get optimal battery life during my shoots rather than spending hundreds on new ones. (https://www.wexphotovideo.com)
Con's
It can end up cost more if I do a film every week for example because batteries are rented by the day and it can get costly for certain batteries.
